Discusses the history, social and artistic aspects of the multiethnic character of Brazil.
Based on Darcy Ribeiro's book of the same name, this series discusses the course of history, major concerns and problems, and different points of view and dilemmas. The author highlights the need for a general review of Brazil's socio-cultural roots, examining them in a broad and intimate manner. After all, who are the Brazilians? How did the symbolic and genetic blending process take place? How were the various cultural regions and multiple Brazil's formed? We want to present these questions to the general public, which is the core of social and historical constitution. The film also includes interviews with Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Antônio Cândido and Tom Zé.
