<br/><br/> Set in and around a house on a remote semi-deserted island, this film is structured around two apparently discrete stories involving a cherubic faced but murderous boy, a woman who may be his mother and an assassin on the run who may be the murderous boy in adulthood. Ruiz describes it as 'a free variation on the theme of Peter Pan'. It is loaded with disturbing and poetic surrealist imagery which refuses to concede ground to the demands of 'professional' storytelling.
