N2  - The film Gaudí stems from the need to offer the viewer an "official" version of the story of the Catalan architect, through archive images and documents from the period. After much research, we came to the conclusion that it was virtually impossible to come up with a documentary of that sort because of the lack of historical information. At this point, we decided to make up the background information needed for the reconstruction of a biographical portrait. Our conjectural results are based, at all times, on real events or, at least, on feasible events. It is not simply a matter of describing the events and important dates of Gaudí's life and career, but of getting a feel for the period through unearthed images found among the rubble after the Spanish Civil War. --
